A way needs to be found to punish all withholders of information; reporters and officials alike. Perhaps, when attempts are made to profit from their monetization, a concerted attempt should be made by influencers and the media to inform the public of their hypocrisy.
It’s all very emblematic of today’s political culture. The ‘what’s in it for me’ that takes precedence over any oath of office or declaration of dedication.
It’s not new to the landscape but the landscape is now so littered and bombed out; in order to retain it’s integrity these holders of information that could help save lives, sanity or democracy itself SHOULD be beholden to The People (the same people who support their careers btw) , but they’re not, never were and we find out much too late.
I've read several books that made me want to tear my hair out--except for Bolton's, I couldn't stomach his self-aggrandizing--because we needed to know this information while DJT was still in office perpetrating crimes. Maybe the revelations wouldn't have accomplished anything. Diaper Don was dug in like a tick on a dog's back. But we'll never know. It's a difficult question. Thank you for tackling it.

The Trumps syndrome is that they cannot do whats best for anyone but themselves.
I don’t know that scientists have located the gene for ‘criminality’, but clearly it is the practice of the Trump family.
It doesn’t even matter if people die in huge numbers.
Its all about them.
Donald Trump should never again be allowed to run for any office. Period.
