As previously announced, I’ve moved from Substack to Ghost.
The new address of this newsletter on the web is: https://unprecedented.ghost.io/
If you subscribed (free or paid) on Substack prior to the migration, you should now receive articles from: Unprecedented <noreply@unprecedented.ghost.io>
So far you should have received two articles!
(If you didn’t, please check your spam folder!)
If you subscribed here on Substack after the migration, please update your info on Ghost:
These are the two articles I’ve published on Ghost so far:
One:
“Banning Anne Frank” further exposes the lie that astroturf book banning group Moms for Liberty and wannabe-fascist Ron DeSantis are only interested in keeping “pornography” out of children’s hands.
You can read that here: https://unprecedented.ghost.io/archive/banning-anne-frank/
Two:
“Saudi Arabia’s Useful Idiot” looks at what Saudi Arabia gets out of being Twitter’s biggest outside investor—and how the brutal regime’s desire to persecute people for things they say or tweet may align with the benefits they get from investing in Elon Musk, including “special access to confidential company information.”
You can read that here: https://unprecedented.ghost.io/archive/saudi-arabias-useful-idiot/
As I previously mentioned, I overcame my inertia and left Substack after reading about how Substack’s lead VC investor, Andreessen Horowitz, is now “openly courting Saudi Arabia” despite the fact the regime that chopped up Jamal Khashoggi with a bone saw is not just an enemy of writers, it is also openly siding with Russia and China against the US.
Over on Ghost, everything seems to be working fine in terms of emails going out and web links being sharable. All of my old Substack articles are now archived on Ghost. I’m still figuring out how to add likes and share buttons. But comments are activated (theoretically).
For now, I’ll also be leaving all my old articles here on Substack. But quitting Substack, like quitting Twitter, will present new challenges to me in attracting and retaining new subscribers to this newsletter. For example, since I turned off paid subscriptions on Substack, I’m still getting more new free subscribers here than on Ghost.
All my articles on Ghost will continue to be free to read and share, made possible by the generosity of my paid supporters. For those who ever wish to support this ad-free newsletter without the commitment of a paid subscription, I will also keep my “tip jar” open on Buy Me a Coffee (buttons are below).
I hope you will continue reading and commenting on my Ghost posts—and sharing on social media if you feel inclined.
Thanks!
Richard
Thank you for keeping my subscription for me at your new venue. Wishing you much success. 🙏🏽🥰💗
