Republicans Embrace Bidenomics
Biden's "game-changing" infrastructure investments are making America "safer and stronger" say enthusiastic GOP Congresspeople
EDITOR’S NOTE: Several recent news reports have depicted the Republicans quoted in this article as hypocritical snakes who used harsh language to denounce President Biden’s infrastructure bill as they voted against its passage. This article instead chooses to highlight the positive impact of multiple GOP electeds now advertising publicly that the Biden spending they initially opposed is, in fact, enormously beneficial for their constituents and the economy at large. So, as these Republicans implicitly acknowledge that all of The Former Guy’s lame attempts to rebuild America’s infrastructure were nothing but an abysmal failure, let’s celebrate their widespread embrace of Bidenomics!
In a massive show of support for President Joe Biden’s once-in-a-lifetime infrastructure investments, elected Republicans across the nation are lining up to endorse and celebrate Biden’s commitment to rebuilding America. In the process, they are helping the Biden Administration showcase the powerful economic and lifestyle benefits that “Bidenomics” will deliver to all Americans for years and years to come.
“Game-changing” for Iowa
Describing President Biden’s $829 million investment to update crucial locks and dams along the Mississippi River, Congresswomen Ashley Hinson (R-IA) enthused:
“The lock and dam system along the Upper Mississippi River is critical to Iowa’s agriculture economy and our country’s entire supply chain—this landmark investment will be game-changing for Iowans and communities along the Mississippi River like Dubuque.”
According to Congresswoman Hinson, we finally have a President who’s making Iowa great again!
“A Great Day for Fort Worth”…
In Texas, Republican Congresswoman Kay Granger was equally lavish in her praise for President Biden’s new $403 million dollar Trinity River Vision/Central City flood control project: “This is a great day for Fort Worth,” she said. “We are now the 12th largest city in the nation. But with growth comes responsibility.” She concluded by praising the critical new infrastructure investments made possible by President Joe Biden for helping making Fort Worth “safer and stronger.”
… And a “Revival” in San Antonio
Also in Texas, Republican Tony Gonzales was effusive in his praise of President Joe Biden’s ecosystem restoration plan and all the benefits it would bring to his district. “For many folks in the area, this project revives the area’s storied past and deep roots,” said Gonzales in a statement.
It seems that Republicans in the Lone Star State are admitting they need help from a Democratic President to get anything done. Thanks BIGLY, Joe!
Biden Is “Building a Better Future” for Alabama
In deep-red Alabama, Republican Rep. Gary Palmer was ecstatic about the $369 million Northern Beltline project President Joe Biden finally made happen:
“Birmingham is currently one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country without a complete beltline around it. Completing the Northern Beltline will benefit the entire region and enhance economic development and employment opportunities... building a better future for the Birmingham metro area and central Alabama.”
To hear Congressman Palmer describe it, this sounds like another economic “game-changer”! Powerful stuff, Mr. President!
Biden Projects Get “Full Support” from GOP in Louisiana
The GOP House Minority Whip Steve Scalise also praised the investment President Biden is delivering for his home state after it recently “suffered a direct hit” from Hurricane Ida:
“I am pleased to see… over $1 billion for projects in Louisiana’s First Congressional District. Funding will go towards the continued construction of the Morganza-to-the-Gulf project, raising levee heights for the New Orleans-to-Venice hurricane protection project, funding a flood control study… making emergency repairs, and improving Grand Isle flood protection, and repairing and improving hurricane and flood protection structures along the lakefront in Jefferson Parish.”
And Congressman Clay Higgins (R-LA) announced that he “fully supports” more than $190 million in funding for waterway projects that, thanks to President Biden, will upgrade facilities and create jobs in his own district.
What a powerful endorsement from Steve Scalise! Why are so many in the media failing to report all the ways President Biden is helping America “build back better”?
Virginia Republican Heralds Biden’s Port Funding
Meanwhile in Virginia, Republican Congressman Rob Wittman tweeted his excitement about the $70 million in funding that would transform the Port of Virginia’s shipping channels, enabling it to become “a key player in domestic and international trade.”
It almost sounds like Rob Wittman could play Tom Hanks in the next Biden commercial. America is back, baby!
Minnesota Republican Celebrates Biden’s Airport Investments
Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08), a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, said that President Biden’s investments in airports would be integral to his district’s continued “economic success”:
“I am happy to announce over $9 million in federal funding for airports across Minnesota’s Eighth Congressional District. The many airports located across northeast Minnesota play a vital role in the economic success of our communities, and this money will help ensure this success continues.”
More economic success is coming to Minnesota. Great stuff, President Biden!
Maryland Republican Says Biden Has Delivered a “Win-Win”
Andy Harris, a Republican Congressman from Maryland, was particularly delighted that, after years of Trump’s broken infrastructure promises, one much-needed dredging project was finally being funded by President Biden:
“I have heard for years the concerns from local citizens and local government officials about the need to dredge Slaughter Creek. Thankfully, with this round of funding, we will begin this long overdue process, and additionally it will allow us to continue the important work of island restoration along the Mid-Shore,” Harris said in a statement. “This is a win-win for all parties involved.”
So much winning and Republicans are not even tired yet. Thanks, President Biden!
President Biden Makes Florida Senator Rick Scott “Proud”!
Even as Florida continues to suffer the devastating effects of the DeSanticide that has been unleased by current Governor/T-shirt salesman Ron DeSantis, former Governor/current Senator Rick Scott is highlighting just how “proud” he is of President Biden’s plan to restore the Florida Everglades.
Senator Scott was positively giddy at the “return on investment” that the Biden project will deliver, calling the $1 billion project “an unprecedented” investment in Everglades restoration and, “the largest single amount ever allocated by the federal government.”
Rick Scott hasn’t seen such a massive ROI since he personally pocketed $300 million in his former company’s Medicare scam. And this time, no laws were broken!
President Biden’s Infrastructure Spending Will Benefit All 50 States for Years to Come
Republicans are rightfully excited about President Biden’s infrastructure investments. After four years watching their own corrupt, self-dealing so-called President fail to deliver on any kind of infrastructure (beyond a few stretches of an overpriced border fence that fell down when the wind blew too hard), these politicians are welcoming President Biden’s forward-looking investments in roads, water quality, bridges, broadband, and more.
And now that President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is rolling out in project after project across the nation, they can’t ignore the powerful life-enhancing, job-creating impact Bidenomics is having.
Instead of catering to corporations and the already wealthy like Trump did, the Biden approach means “building the economy from the bottom up and the middle out.”
And President Biden is already delivering for the American people in ways that even Republicans want to shout about.
Let’s go, Biden!

What a great article! Thanks. More, please.
I appreciate the desire to put an extremely positive spin on President Biden’s projects, and he is due all the accolades. Perhaps I missed it, but I didn’t see a direct quote from any republicans, either saying it was Biden’s plan, or thanking the President for the funding. The quotes all present the projects as simply falling out of the sky into these Republican districts.
But again it is good to see positive spins on Bidenomics.
